Job Title: Hygiene & Grooming Specialist (Dogs, Cats, or Both)

Our Mobile Salons are the biggest and best in the industry - made by Wag’n Tails and they’re fully loaded with all the options, and only the finest equipment; they even come with Bathrooms, TV and sound system! We choose premium quality products and we go to extraordinary lengths to make our pet clients comfortable and happy during grooming.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Safely drive and operate company vehicles.

• Provide for the safety and comfort of pets in your care.

• Communicate with and interpret the needs and expectations of clients.

• Educate pet parents about the proper handling and care for their pet’s breed.

• Perform quality wellness examinations of pets & verbal/written reports for clients.

• Respond to client concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

• Provide excellent hygiene & grooming care in accordance with company standards.

• Interpret the care needs and comfort preferences for pets in your care.

• Create custom care and grooming plans for each pet.

• Develop creative solutions for pets with challenges or special care needs.

• Participate in required company training and ongoing education.

• Support the team and individuals seeking assistance.

• Document client and pet interactions and instructions for grooming needs.

• Proactively communicate with clients for scheduling and ETA’s.

• Complete the assigned appointments or goals for each day.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Confident professional personality w/ excellent client handling ability.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Ability to handle and de-escalate tense situations.

• Capacity to comfortably groom eight (8) dogs per day w/ quality results.

• Minimum three (3) years experience as a full service dog groomer.

• Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service experience.

• Knowledge of canine hygiene & grooming requirements for all breeds.

• Ability to identify & describe the different dog breeds & AKC classifications.

• Positive attitude & ability to work well with all people, regardless of differences.

• Valid Colorado Driver's License and clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)

• Possess the strength and agility to safely manage dogs up to 130 lbs.
