SERVICES FOR DOGS
We don’t offer cookie-cutter grooming.
We offer thoughtful care—tailored to your dog’s coat, age, and comfort needs.
How We Group Dog Grooming Services
At Rainbow, we tailor every grooming session based on your dog’s natural coat type—because each coat has unique needs, sensitivities, and grooming rhythms. Our approach isn’t about breed—it’s about what’s best for your individual dog.
Here are the four coat types we serve:

Smooth Coat Dog Breeds
Short, sleek hair that doesn’t require trimming—but they still need regular bathing, brushing, and skin care to stay healthy.
Common smooth-coated breeds include: Dachshunds, Boxers, Boston Terriers, Beagles, Vizslas, and French Bulldogs.
Standard Coat Dog Breeds
These coats have hair that grows out and benefits from regular haircuts, brushing, and sanitary trimming.
Common breeds with standard coats include: Maltese, Bichon Frise, Shih Tzus, Yorkies, and Miniature Schnauzers.

Specialty Coat Dog Breeds
These breeds have thick, curly, or textured hair that requires detailed grooming, more time, and consistent coat maintenance.
Common specialty-coated breeds include: Poodles, Doodles, Labradoodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, and Cocker Spaniels.
Double Coat Dog Breeds
These dogs have two layers of coat—a soft undercoat and a coarse outer layer—that require regular deshedding and special care to prevent matting and skin issues.
Common double-coated breeds include: Huskies, Corgis, Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and German Shepherds.

Standards of Grooming Care

Wellness Grooming
Wellness Grooming is grooming, evolved.
It’s not about appearances—it’s about your pet’s health, comfort, and quality of life.
At Rainbow, every groom begins with a nose-to-tail checkup and a customized care plan built around your pet’s unique needs, sensitivities, and well-being.
We don’t groom for vanity. We groom with purpose.
We will never do anything that isn’t in the best interest of the pet—because grooming is healthcare, and love is responsibility.
Designed by devoted pet parents, Wellness Grooming is our way of giving animals the same dignity and individualized care we would want for ourselves.
This is grooming reimagined—not just as a service, but as a sacred act of care.

Comfort Grooming
The gold standard in emotionally intelligent pet care.
ComfortCare™ is Rainbow’s exclusive, sensory-based grooming system—designed to create a safe, calming, and individualized experience for every pet we serve.
Built on the belief that comfort is the first condition of care, ComfortCare™ treats each pet as a whole being—not just a breed or a haircut. We account for everything they see, smell, hear, feel, and taste to reduce stress and promote peace throughout the grooming process.
This isn’t just kind—it’s science-based, vet-informed, and rooted in animal advocacy.
Our mobile salons are equipped for sensory comfort:
• Aromatherapy to calm and center
• Natural sounds or soft music for soothing familiarity
• Tasty rewards to affirm safety and trust
• Controlled temperature and soft-touch handling to reduce startle or stress
• Visual comfort and stimulation—including in-salon TVs designed for pets
Every groomer at Rainbow is trained in interpreting canine and feline body language, stress cues, and comfort thresholds.
That means we can read the moment—and adapt the experience—before anxiety becomes distress.
And because ComfortCare™ is not optional—it’s our standard—it also prepares us to make meaningful accommodations for pets with special needs, including seniors, fearful or reactive pets, animals recovering from trauma, and those with medical or physical conditions.
ComfortCare™ doesn’t ask pets to tolerate grooming. It creates a world where they can feel safe within it.
That’s what sets Rainbow apart—and what your pet deserves.

Bath, Hygiene & Maintenance
Our All-Inclusive Bath, Hygiene & Maintenance Package
At Rainbow, hygiene isn’t optional—it’s essential. Every pet we serve receives a full Bath, Hygiene & Maintenance Package as part of their groom. No add-ons. No upsells. No skipping what matters.
We don’t offer the basics—we redefine them.
This is a complete, comfort-focused wellness system that includes everything your pet needs to stay clean, healthy, and cared for—inside and out.
Included with every appointment:
Gentle bathing with high-quality shampoo and conditioner (always tailored to your pet’s coat and skin needs)
Teeth brushing, because oral health is critical and too often overlooked
Ear cleaning and anal gland checks (and expression if needed)
Sanitary trim (when beneficial for hygiene and comfort)
Premium nail care, including trimming and smoothing
Paw pad shave for grip, hygiene, and comfort
Routine deshedding and minor mat removal
Use of specialty products for dry, flaky, or itchy skin—at no added cost
It all begins with our PetCHECK™ wellness checkup, where we assess your pet’s skin, coat, comfort level, and any areas of concern—then build a care plan around what they truly need.
Other groomers may call it a “bath.” We call it essential care. Because at Rainbow, the haircut isn’t the point. Your pet’s health is.

Skin & Coat Treatments
Expert care for comfort, relief, and long-term skin health.
Healthy skin is where true comfort begins. At Rainbow, our groomers are trained to recognize signs of dryness, irritation, flaking, inflammation, and coat imbalances—then take action using insight provided by our veterinary partners.
From anti-itch treatments to medicated soaks and moisture-rich conditioning, every product we use is chosen for its quality, purpose, and pet-safe ingredients—not upsell value.
Whether your pet has seasonal allergies, sensitive skin, or chronic coat issues, we respond with care—not guesswork—and build their comfort directly into their care plan.
Because soothing skin and restoring coat health isn’t extra care. It’s essential care.

Haircuts & Styling
Designed for comfort. Delivered with care. Beautiful by nature.
At Rainbow, we believe pets should feel as good as they look. While our focus is always on health, hygiene, and comfort, we also provide expert haircuts and styling—done with skill, safety, and respect for each animal’s well-being.
Our groomers are trained in a full range of haircut styles, including breed-specific grooming, custom trims, and our signature Comfort Clip™—a coat style developed by Rainbow for optimal comfort, low maintenance, and mat prevention.
Whether your pup needs a simple tidy-up or a beautifully styled cut, we’ll always work within what’s healthiest for their coat and skin. If a style ever risks discomfort, we’ll adjust with care—and explain why.
Because at Rainbow, every haircut is a collaboration between you, your groomer, and what’s best for your pet.

Special Care Handling
Gentle, adaptive grooming for pets with unique needs.
Some pets need more time, more patience, or more help. At Rainbow, that’s not a challenge—it’s an honor.
Our Special Care Handling is designed for seniors, medically fragile pets, animals with disabilities, and those who are anxious, reactive, or recovering. We create a space of trust and safety, modifying each step of the grooming process to meet your pet’s emotional and physical needs.
Every Rainbow groomer is trained in comfort-first handling, body language interpretation, and behavioral stress response—with additional insight from our veterinary and behavioral partners. Whether it means slowing down, skipping non-essential steps, adjusting equipment, or offering breaks—we do what’s best for the pet, not what’s most convenient for us.
We know these pets are often turned away or misunderstood. That won’t happen here.
Because at Rainbow, care isn’t just what we provide—it’s how we listen, adapt, and advocate.
